Gaming Commission Approves Sale Of Primm Casinos To Herbst

(Las Vegas, NV) -- Herbst Gaming has been given the green light to buy three Primm casinos from MGM Mirage. The Nevada Gaming Commission has approved the 400 million dollar deal, giving Herbst control of Buffalo Bill's, Primm Valley and Whiskey Pete's casinos on I-15 at the California-Nevada border. The deal is expected to close next month. Herbst, which owns a Las Vegas casino on Paradise Road and a number of convenience stores and car washes, recently took over four Northern Nevada casinos, including the Sands Regency in Reno. The company plans to upgrade its new Primm casinos as soon as possible.<
