Can any of you Bronco guys give me an approximate cost to have a SCORE legal cage built for C3? I'm trying to weigh out whether or not to do the fabwork myself. Thanks!

not enough info there bro...........
to include shock mounts?
tie into suspension points?
thru the firewall?
DOM, CHROMO?
1 3/4" or 2"
mig, tig?
there is so much involved with this that its not even funny. if you are asking about a bare basics - no accesories - just enough to get thru the door cage and get started cage............i have built cages here at home for $4000 starting. at work we charge $90 per hour. hope this helps

Yeah, I suppose I left that wide open. I haven't got my SCORE rule book yet, so I don't know if it needs to be Cromo, or if I can use DOM. Same for the tube size. 1.75" is a minimum requirement, isn't that correct? If DOM, is TIG necessary, or advantageous?
It would include suspension tie-ins with front/rear shock hoops and the fuel cell. The driver/passenger safety portions are of greatest concern and really what I would be after. I can fab bumpers and tie-ins, tire carriers, etc.

As of this last year the Cage needs to be 2" X 1.20"
Seamless mild steel is fine.
Acceptable materials: CRW, DOM, WHR & WCR mild carbon steel or 4130 chromoly.
Sorry I've been lagging on my SCORE rules posting. :o

if you are good, you can use 1 3/4"...........
min weight for class 3 is 3500lbs.
per score book between 3000 and 4000lbs, you can use 1 3/4" tubing. 4001lbs and up require the 2" tubing.

no, those are the old rules. new rules are in place of either material you decided to use. DOM or Chromoly.

Well, there ya have it then. I did't have a rule book here at work to confirm it. Thanks. I have been planning on running 2" tubing on mine anyway, so I guess I'm good to go. My buddy that will be building my cage for me (and helping with the rest of the build) just had his first "SCORE/SAVAGE" inspection on a cage he welded up, done last month. Passed with flying colors and even got the comment, "Very nice welds", from Savage himself.
