Superstition 250

Anyone going to the Superstition 250 on October 18, 2008?

Anybody remember the good old Fud days, when that race was held in August? Theres nothing like being on that dry lake in 125 degree heat!! The only saving grace was the Whitted ice delivery truck. He let guys set up lawn chairs in the back. The shock from going from 32 to 125 was a bit interesting.
Then the thunderstorm hit.Can you say humid?Aah, good times!! Would not trade that for anything.

I was there last weekend and I will be there next weekend,it was hot.

It's so hot you almost can't breathe.

When we are driving to the desert and we are almost there we turn off the air and roll down the windows so that way when we get out of the car we don't put are selfs in shock due to the heat.

I have to say all of us are hard core desert lovers to put up with that.

So far there is no one registered for C3. If it stays that way, Im just going to be running against the clock. Yo pig, you feel like keeping your eyes peeled at a visual? I cant get enough bodies out there to help me out. It sucks, I bend over backwards to help anyone I can but when I need help they are "too busy" or they just dont want to. Its messed up.

With MDR does 300 fall under sportsman? I thought it did and I cant find anything saying otherwise. Anyone know on that one??

I don't really understand why they have two series. Wish you could have raced the Sept. race instead, but I understand about timing, etc.

300 is a pro class in the "other" MDR series.

By other you mean superstition series? Or california series? Im trying to figure it out. You know they cut me down to 4 FRIGGIN LAPS??? wth is up with that?

Probably just because they took it over from fud when he passed.

In any case I predict this will be the last year for mdr in plaster city.

Every one should keep an eye out for the new series "drive".

roger that,I will be in my buggy or bronco I dont know yet.I try to hit start finish first, I will be at the mdr drawing oct 11 at fibertech

I just got back from the Driver's Drawing for Starting Position at Fiber-Tech in Santee. It was a great turn out and it was nice to meet everyone.

Looking forward to a great race.
