You can make a donation or inquire about raffle tickets directly at the MORE site (WWW.MOREracing.net) There you fill out a form on the PP race link and they contact you directly. All the raffle ticket proceeds go directly to the hospital as well, so if you are looking to make a donation why not get a chance at some stuff??? I am pretty sure you do not have to be present to win, at least that is the way it has been for the past 2 years. Thanks for asking Mr. Joe Rockhead ;)

I will put down 20 bucks cash and the Class 3 Cup will donate a couple of shirts... I will have to see what Anger Issues Racing has left in "baby-doll" shirts. Might as well get them gone... in anticipation of a huge sponsor next year (Kotex?).

Seriously though. We will be there in force supporting Cervantes racing - and I will donate a couple of shirts for raffle prizes. I think Catheryn and Lara are going to kick some butt.

Long live the Ta-Ta's!!

If anyone wants me to send them a pay-pal invoice for this event, send me a note to Class3Cup@hotmail.com. I will put any and all proceeds (including my 20 bucks) to the cancer fund.

It's time for the girls to shine!!

166 Starters / ???? Finishers (don't have all the stats as of yet guys)

Car #1300/First group

Our 1st Lap was our fastest just over 40 Minuets to cover the 23 mile course of whoops and deep ruts from hell. We kept all of our laps consistent with the exception of the 3rd on which I hit something that bent the right rear rim causing my tire to leak and flatten for the remaining quarter of the lap making it feel like I was driving a boat. We Pitted (as did my co driver), gassed up and changed the tire and were on our way again with a “new” tire that happen to be too wide for my car causing it to rub against my rear shock for the entire 4th lap giving off a burning rubber smell which at the time did not know what the cause was. Passing mile 12 where we had a remote pit I found that we were going to have plenty of time to go for a 5th lap but my co driver informed me she was having some sharp pains in her back so we sided with caution and called it at the end of our 4th lap completing them in around 2 hours 51 minuets. We had a blast out there laughing and bearing the tough hits all along the way, the wind was a great help and considering the number of entries we had little traffic to contend with. Last year the car got a new Mailman built motor (blew the old one at last years race on the 1st lap), which worked like a charm with the help of Topline tuning the carburetor and an overhaul of the rear suspension/cage by Wicked Creations. This was only the 3rd race ever for me and MY car and we are still working out all the bugs (no pun intended) Not sure were we placed or where we could have placed if we continued but all in all we did great as did all the racers out there. Now that the car is near completion I hope to be competing in more races in the near future, once a year is not going to be enough as I am sure it won’t be for many of the women who competed out there during this event. Kudos to MORE and all the pit crews that were there in support of all the racers. A huge thanks to my husband Sal for the countless hours of work on my car allowing me to participate in this great event. And last but not least Lara did a great job for her first time out as a co driver navigating us around the course like a pro, who needs a GPS anyway right???

could'nt you of finished the race without her?

You know the thought crossed my mind but I think I made the right call especially with the tire situation and we were in it together so, plus I think Sal would have had a cow, he worries soooo.... If the tables were turned she would not have been able to continue without me. Looking at our lap times we may have finished in the top ten in our class out of 26 I think if we had gone the extra lap and even better if we had run in the afternoon, plus it looks like They thru in the 6 cyl bugs in our group as well so it makes it hard to say how we placed against the 4 cyl. cars. And don't think that I wasn't sore after 90 plus miles either, this was my first time back behind the wheel after my engine malfunction a year ago of which I got like 15 min. of racing in and the time before that a year had lapsed too.
