Do they still have that huge bonfire of Christmas trees on New Years Eve? Or did someone put an end to that? Sure miss Fud's Bloody Marys...I think!

Is that down at Plaster City?
Rodd's been trying to talk me into going down there for the new years eve activities..
I cant see spending the money it would take to do it though.
Last time driving my Mustang ittook me about 5 hours including my stop for groceries.
& I drove the Mustang alot faster than I would the Dully towing the Bronco behind me.

Yes it's at Plaster City. It's fun driving to the desert for New Years. Everyone driving by has a christmas tree or two strapped to their trailer to burn for new years. Those trees burn like roman candles.
Fun Fun:)

I'll be camping on the other side of the mountain in ocotillo wells but may try to cruise over for the bon fire. Def can't make the race though...
For anyone on the fence about going I'd definitely recommend it as it's always a blast.

I might go assuming I can borrow a trailer to take Blanco on. :)
Rodd Fantelli will be there racing & I figure what better do I have to do.
Sounds like a fun get away.
Maybe even if I cant get a trailer I might still go just to hang out even without my pre-runner.
Its either that or stay home bored wishing I was out doing something fun.
& I'm sure there will be lots of tree's around to pick up to take. :D

Plaster city dont seem to be on your list & being I dont know the area, what should I be looking at?
Looks like I'll have rent a trailer & I dont know if I can afford it, I might just take the dually. :(
I'll hate it, but it will save me about $200.00
plaster city is nothing more than a plaster plant (sheet rock factory), ,ocotillo is the nearest town its 10miles west of the plant you can get gas beer and ice, seely is 15mi to the east there is a small grocery store and gas there. It should be dry, cold at night mild days

I-5 to 805 to 8 to Plaster city.Or I 10 to 86 to Westmoreland to S30 to Evan Hewes Hwy.The first is probably faster. I really want to go out there, but Im hurting. Two weeks off with no pay kills me.Happy Holidays!!
two ways , 10 east to 86 south to forrester rd south to evan hewes west to plaster city,This is how I pearsonaly would go from east LA county, forrester is a two lane shortcut through the fields.the other rout is 15 south to 8east exit dunnaway rd go north to evan hewes turn left to plastercity .I think the first is shorter

Thats the way I know & will probably go that way. :o
Then maybe try one of these other ways on my way back home.
I'm not bringing the Bronco. :(
Cant afford the trailer rental.
But keep an eye out for my Dually.
