Looks good. Must be nice not having to use 30 year old sheet metal! And some are using 40 year old stuff. Someday......

Is there a better version of that one picture with the sand flying up? That looks like the money shot, but hard to tell in the thumbnail version.

That looks great! Can't wait to see it finished. How did the equal length TTB set-up work out on that F150? And is that your black Bronco? A couple of my internet buddies were at an event with it earlier this year.

The F-150 became an unfinished project a long time ago. I don't remember how much travel they got out of the equal length ttb's, but it was quite a bit. They broke some welds testing the quarter elliptics and discovered they don't go up, but out the back, and very quickly.

The trip to pick up the black bronco was very interesting. John had my dad and I fly out to North Carolina to look and it and see if it was worth buying. We decided it was and made preparations to drive back to Oregon the next day. The next morning we left after an alignment was done on it. After about 40 miles of freeway driving we were passing a car and it shifted out of overdrive and then never shifted back in. We got off the freeway to check everything out and everything looked fine. When we tested in the parking lot of the gas station we discovered we only had first gear now, everything else acted like neutral. We called a tow truck to take it back to the guy's shop. Over the next two days we had the transmission replaced. The torque converter ballooned and we now think it was because the tv cable wasn't adjusted properly. It's day 4 now and we finally get back on the road. The junkyard transmission was making some odd noises for the first 100 miles or so, but it settled down. After about 140 miles we pulled into a rest stop just to check the fluids and whatnot and everything looked good so we kept going. A couple of miles later we were passing some traffic and the engine threw a rod and a thick cloud of smoke blanketed the interstate. We called another tow truck, which proceeded to get a flat tire while taking us to the nearest Ford dealership. We flew home the next day.

cliffs: Fly to get bronco, break transmission, replace transmission, blow up engine, fly home.

I still have the black bronco. The new 408 is done and should be on the Dyno this week. We are re working the front supension. The giant shock hoop has been taken off.
It had not alot off droop with the 12" race runners that were bent from the hoop not being right . We will install 2New 14" fox coil over and some 14" triple bypass shocks in the next week. The Art Carr is being gone thru and a custom conveter with some stall will be put back in.

I had intentions of cutting up the Bronco for a new class 3 and using the old class 4 suspension but there are way to many hour in the bronco. It will make an awsome prerunner/ chase Rig.
