Were approaching the point where we need to worry about our wiring
on our 84 bronco carb'd.

We have ditched everything smog related, ditched a/c(so far), heater etc..
just a bare motor. We want to ditch the computer and simplify our
electrical situation. what do you think?

We already have two Optima red tops mounted in the rear, but what alternator shoud we run?

we want to run gps, intercom system, race radio, parker pumpers, stock lights/3-4 off-road lights/amber light and a air compressor.

thanks, I have tons more q's on this but will ask later.

the gps, intercom, radio, parker pumber, all that stuff consumes pretty little amps, unless you're considering running with 6, 8 or 10 hella's then you might need an alternator with greater capacity, if not, you're stock alternator can handle all that, and for the second battery, you should consider that for a back up, not to ran it in parallel,. you can, but, then you will need to upgrade your alternator

we simplify our electrical system too, we only left what the engine need it, what goes into an out of the ecu, by doing that, you wil get rid off 50% of the stock wiring, everything else like lighting, radios etc etc, we did it apart, independent to the stock system, so you don't have to worry about that, .

we eventually want to run about 8 hella's after a light rack is built, but for know we wont be running them.

And we added the battery for back up so htat shouldn't be an issue
