So...

Crew Chief and "Dad" Leavitt (Ray) stepped up and bought a truck. It's a totally bitchin' F-150 with all Chevy drive-train. He always WAS a chevy guy. See attached.

I decided I needed something to go a little faster too. Sometimes those beer stops are long ways apart. See attached.

Yee haw!!

(ok, mine needs some work, I admit. Mine is the ugly white one... his is the pretty black one).

Also, Cuzin Andy is racing his full-blown long-travel Ford with the crate motor and gobs of wheel travel in Primm in two weeks. WE WILL BE THERE IN FORCE... :D:D:D:D There are 47 trucks entered in 1450!!! 2 off the line every 15 seconds on a 6.5 mile course!! CARNAGE.

It's more EVIL vs GOOD... BLACK vs WHITE!!! Can anyone say "color change"????

I love that truck!!!! It was next to you guys at the Lucerne race and I just saw it at Pismo a couple weeks ago. That thing works nice! You bought it? The price they were asking seemed like a no brainer for a buyer.

Turns out that the owner of the black truck, Jeff, is a flake. He changed his mind on the price AFTER they had a deal. Mumble, mumble, mumble, something about the new 4-link, the race radiator, and that his dad wants him to keep the trailer. Maybe he should ask his dad's permission before he gets out of bed in the am. Pops Leavitt told him "nevermind".

Later, he contacted my dad asking to strike another deal. I still think the truck is a great truck, but that is a tough thing to deal with.

Back to the drawing boards for Pops. Mine goes to the fab shop for the needed repairs on the 16th of March, the day after San Felo.
