The new engine, new for us i mean, the 4.0 sohc is up an running,. that thing sounds like a v8 compare to the other engine,. we still haven't tested our chupakabras with this engine,. hopefully to be able to test it during this week or this weekend., i will try to finish the wiring today i have everything in place just to hoke up the dashboard, we will add another shock to the front suspension, a fox 2" x 10, just to help a little bit the coilover ,.

forgot to tell, juanco will fine tune the computer once we go out for testing,. righ now he reprogammed the computer to work for our application,. he disable the pats or passive antitheft system, he disable all the emission stuff, set to work with 45 ps1 fuel pressure, rpms to 6500, more fuel to the fi, time advanced and stuff like that,. so, cant wait to see how that thing will work with our chupakabras,. haha,. see yah then.

the suspension didn't drop an inch, i don't see much difference, looks bigger because of the heads but both are alluminum heads, we didn't modified the engine cage, it fit easy, it looks like it was meant to be there, haha, so, i'm more worried about how it will handled with that much hp, juanco told us with that engine your always running at 5500 rpms and you can rise it to 6500 to shift to 3rd gear,., we just want to have the power when need it than need it and not have it,. so, will see what happens.

finally, first test drive ,oh man,. this sohc engine is amazing,. i still can not believe it,. only modifications done are on the ecu by JuanCo,. well, still there it still needs to be fine tune i think, but so far i love it,. we are running that engine in front of a ford c4 tranny ( by JuanCo too) full manual with a ford 8.8 posi slip with 4.56 gears and 33" tires, right now the engine is set up to get the most out of it from 3000 rpms to 6500(we will need a high stall TQ), i don't know but my hand want it to shift at 4000rpm like we were used to with our old ohv engine, with this SOHC engine that was the bigining of true power, from 3000 to 6500 that thing revs awsome and the power that you feel is unbeliavable, i was amazed, i felt like 5000 rpms was the place to be, awsome hp and sound easy on the engine, now i know what "WOT" means, haha, the in car camera wasn't ready yet, hopefully for the next weekend or next test drive it will be ready so you can see what that engine does,. here are some pics,.

ps.. time to upgrade to a ford 9" on the rear,. :D

Awesome!! I didn't believe we got that much air until i saw the picture (first one), there must be about 25-30 yards from one top of the ditch to the other, Chupas just pegged it from practically a standstill and we went flying.
