AFTER WINNING SAN FELIPE 250, MOSS BROTHERS HEAD FOR VEGAS
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE MARCH 20, 2009
SACRAMENTO, CA – Brothers Don and Ken Moss and their ’79 black Ford Bronco are SCORE Class 3 victors for the 31st time in the 23rd annual Tecate San Felipe 250 Off Road race held on March 14.
The Mosses competed with over 200 racers from 17 states and 10 countries, across 232 miles of Baja Mexico through some of the most picturesque and challenging terrain the region has to offer.
Finishing in just under eight hours, with only one driver/co-driver change, the Moss brothers remain undefeated in 2009, as they race towards a seventh Class 3 SCORE championship.
"The course was extremely rough, like always," Don Moss reported. "We had a 6 minute lead when we discovered a broken leaf spring half way into the race.
Big thanks to BF Goodrich, whose GPS course files, radio communications and pit support made it possible to get the Bronco repaired quickly and back in the lead."
The Moss brothers have raced exclusively on BF Goodrich tires since they entered competition in 2000.
The Black Bronco crew are already busy prepping their entry for competition in the SNORE Mint 400 race in Nevada on March 26 - 29.
The Black Bronco will be competing in SNORE Class 3 with four other entries; they will be second to last class off the starting line. The Moss brothers won this event last year and are looking to start a new winning streak with SNORE.
