Hi, everyone. Long time, no talk. I am passing along the following note from my good friend and class 11 race partner, Jeff Lee.....Followed by a note by me.....

"This is Jeff from the 1106 "Adopt a Shelter Pet", stock bug. I really want to thank the Moss Bros. Team for squeezing us into your pitt area and helping us repair our car. Every race you guys somehow either cheer us on, fix our stuff or pull us out. I appreciate it more than you can ever imagine. You guys are #1 in more than wins.

And also to Chris Raffo for towing was up the first hill. I hope that we did not cost you the race. You guys are also true sportsmen. We would have been there all night as the retrieval trucks had left that site for the evening and we were about the last to come through.

Next time we race, the beer is on me. And I mean that.
Thanks again. Jeff"

Thank you to ALL the class 3 racers out there for the same reasons. An added one is Greg at Moss Pitt C. I came flying in on our second lap (stop laughing) in the 11 car and saw Greg. "Greg, where in the hell am I? ", "Pit C!" "Oh, cool. Check my oil level, engine running, should be between the two lines, running!" "OK"....."It's good!", "Thanks. Later!". And off we went! (I was getting an intermittent low oil pressure warning light and was worried I was losing oil since I got nailed hard by the class 1 a bit B4 that". Great time had by all.......oh, and yes, I am still building my class 7200 to run BITD. :)

Thanks for stopping by and giving us something to do Jerry! HaHa
All the class 3 rigs were so well prepped, they didn't need anything all day, except for Chuck looking for spares and Moss giving us his loose fire extinguisher missile.

Did you finish your 3rd lap on time? Sorry to hear about your class 1 kiss, but sounds like it was in some bad dust.

Class 7200 better watch out when you get to racing her!

Jerry:

I was a little hesitant at first when you guys asked if you could park there. I've seen what a dozen rats will do to each other when thrown into a 5 gallon bucket. We were actually in between you guys, another Class 11 team, and the Baja North (Canadian) Pro Truck team in a space that was barely big enough for one team. It turned out to be a hoot and everyone pitched in on everyone else's pit stops. I don't think there was ever two cars of the 4 that were in the pit at the same time all day. Who knew that the tool on the top of the Class 11 guy's tool box was a Sawzall? These guys fully expect to lose one or two fenders per lap. The Canadian guys took charge of one complete corner of the car that I witnessed, surgically removing the fender and headlight. Jerry, I never did hear how you guys did after we left, but it seems I heard you were the only car in the class still moving at one point. The Canadian guys were also great, and I am not sure who came out on the Tecate/Canadian beer trade, I enjoyed the latter. Sorry your motor went sour after 3 laps.

I am still on the road without a computer, and have been sneaking onto one where I can find one. I will get that story written one of these days soon.
