About 3 weeks ago a guy on SCPSD got me thinking about a C350, & the rest is history.
I started looking around on line & found this site, & then started driving you guys crazy with lots of stupid questons.
But you guys really taught me alot & now am the proud owner of this rig. :smokin:
http://www.supermotors.net/getfile/728414/fullsize/img_6620.jpg
Being I was'nt gonna pay for a rig I've never seen or drivin, I had to spend 4 hours each way just to look at this beast.
So I rented this 2010 Stang & headed north.

http://www.supermotors.net/getfile/728410/fullsize/img_6618.jpg
I personally think this Stang is sexy!
Anyways as I pulled up this was what I saw.

I sorta feel the guy that originally posted this was asking what its worth, was the gy selling it, like he was testing the waters, he was setting it up.
& being that he had a slight additude....
& as far as I know the only post by the guy that 1st posted this only posted about this rig?
Anyways I got much better pics then the guy I suspect......
Theres a bunch more flaws with more detail tha the 1st guy showed us.
lots of paint flaws.

The roof was not too bad & I'll post pic's of it later.
Broken Dash parts... :(

Dont get me wrong I loved the rig & did Buy it! :)
& to be honest besides him seeming unwilling to bend on price, I felt I could trust him even though he made comments he & there...... But I'm an very untrusting person..
On the drive home I was sooooooo happy with the effort!
This is AWESOME rig so far! ( 5 hours into it. )
Runs very well & the gauges shows good stats & the suspension is much better than I suspected it would be.
The A/C kicks Ass!
& I'm already falling in love with this truck.
Funny thing is, on my way home I stopped by a friends place & he told me it was the strangest truck he's ever seen! LOL!!!!!
Any ways, The truck does have me very happy 5 hours into it.
Yikes

Nice score, the extra wheelbase will be cool for towing. Know you got it for towing, but sure would be cool to see one built into a prerunner.
Tailgate skin looks like '92 or thereabouts? X2 on the engine? TTB or straight?
Do the Centurions start out as a crew cab and get shortened, or as a bronco and get lenghtened?
Sell the front valance before you make a sacrifice to the desert gods. Haha

Is that a power stroke decal under the C350 badge? Even with the details you pointed out I think you scored big time! Awesome find Blanco!

Thats BajaBrono13's(Chris) project.
TTB or straight? Solid D60
Do the Centurions start out as a crew cab and get shortened, or as a bronco and get lenghtened?
They start as Cewcabs & get the rear frame shortened & a Bronco's back gets blended on to it.
Sell the front valance before you make a sacrifice to the desert gods. Haha
Its already Damaged.

Good lookin rig! That problem with the roof mating area is a very common problem on those. I have seen pictures from the inside, and it looks a lot worse from that angole, but doesn't hurt the performance a bit.

I mounted my new/used tires today.
Only paid $120.00 for them..
I had to go to OceanSide to buy them, & then drove over to Fantellis shop ( about 1/2 hour from there. ) & he swapped them for me for free. :D
& We did have to cut a wee bit off the front bumper to clear the tires..
But I like the new look.

Today I swapped out the factory air intake box for an open air element.
I bought a pretty inexpensive conversion kit that came with everything I needed for the swap.
So heres the pic's of the steps along the way..
Most of the Pic's dont need text, they speak for them selves..
The stock factory air cleaner box.

Being I could not get the factory Air Box out with out removing the battery tray..
http://www.supermotors.net/getfile/756179/fullsize/img_6982.jpg
These little buggers were holding the box in & I did'nt know the right way to remove the box.. :(
http://www.supermotors.net/getfile/756183/fullsize/img_6984.jpg
Looking at this I figured it pinched around the stud.
http://www.supermotors.net/getfile/756184/fullsize/img_6985.jpg
But I was wrong..
http://www.supermotors.net/getfile/756185/fullsize/img_6986.jpg
Your suppose to pull it straight up over the stud. :eusa_doh:
Heres all the parts in the kit.

Now you can hear the turbo winding up when you stomp on it.
& the power seems to come on sooner than before.. :)

Pretty Cool!
My only advice is to watch your pyro closely when you're towing - ESPECIALLY up a long grade in the heat! Since you're now sucking hot air from the engine compartment, you really up the odds of engine damage - moreso since I don't see a charge air cooler (intercooler)!

No cooler as of yet..
& yeah my plan was to get an "A Pillar" Gauge pod next with a Pyro Gauge & a trans temp & Boost.
But on my modest income, I'll buy things here & there as I can afford them.

You cant tell in the Pic but its slightly nose high & so the rear will be done to level it out.
& tomorrow I should be ordering 2" longer shocks for it..
The way it sits here is only a front shackle flip.
I just cant make up my mind between Bilsteins 5100,5150 or 7100's.
The price goes up as the model number does..
http://www.bilsteinus.com/offroad.php#5100pre
But If I bought the 7100's I'd never have to buy new ones again just rebuild them..
& can valve them to the rig?
I'll probably just go with the cheaper 5100's but what do you think?
I dont wanna buy shocks that are way more than I'd ever need, but......

Thanks, yeah I love the look.
Tomorrow I'll drive it around to see if I notice any difference in the ride quality ( as the Shackle filp is supppose to improve the ride alot? ) .

Sure looks a lot different than when you brought it home. Is the shackle flip the kit that moves the shackles from the front to the rear of the front springs? I have been told this helps, and in fact I have the kit and have not had the time to put it on. Let us know how it goes.

I still don't think they look proportionate... drives me nuts. middle doors should be shorter.

Yeah thats right, it the front Shackle revesal kit.
I've only driven it a few block since I picked it up, So I dont know how much better it rides... http://www.thewebwheeler.com/forums/images/smilies/shrug.gif

I must say after a few days of driving the rig over train tracks & road dips etc etc....
It does ride much smoother & worth the flip.
dont know how much the shocks affect the ride qaulity over the shackle flip.... but its much better. :)

Cool truck!
Shackle flip = changing from a tension shackle to a compression shackle. Better for ride/offroad, less stable when towing and will change your driveshaft (pinion) angle, might need to be corrected. Lowers the rear of the spring, rotates pinion up.

Blanco:
Finally installed the shackle reverse kit that I have had laying around for about 3 years on my F350, which is identical to your truck in the front. My kit was from a different mfg and is slightly different, but same concept. Did your kit come with a drop pitman arm? If not, did you add one, and if you did, how much drop? The instructions on my kit said the drop arm was optional, and of course it has some bump steer issues now. Ride is better, but then again when I pulled off the old Ranchos, one of the shock shafts pulled right out of the body. Could have been part of my problem before!

Don't remember doing any drop pitman arm..?
Here's the kit I bought. http://www.sky-manufacturing.com/new/detaproduct.php?id=162
Yet I don't seem to notice any bump steer issues either..

my first lift was not an RSK, but gave the 3" you got (+-) out of the RSK, and I didn't seem to have any bump steer issues either...
Second lift gave me 7" total, maybe 8, gained 5 +- over the first.. and I used a drop pitman arm. Still no bump steer, but also very little road feel, need to identify that. ANd fix it.
