CHUPAKABRAS update may 09

the race of last weekend was postpone for this weekend due to the f.. flu, so, the chupakabras was sick, so , to move the race to this weekend was a relief,. we thought that the chupas was ok but it wasn't, the missfiring problems kept occuring,. i fix the scanner connector so juan co was able to do a scan to the ecu and it came up to have o2 sensors problems,. we just fix that,. and now the engine runs smoth and strong, this time is true,. already tested the chupas,. so,. we will leave tonight to ensenada for the contingency and race tomorrow,. roger norman will be driving another class 7s truck, so, haha,. cant wait to be there,. see yahh.

forgot to mention,. before fixing the o2 sensors problem, the engine started to overheat in iddle, before we installed the engine we put a new water pump,. , there was a loud noise coming out of the engine but couldnt tell from where it was coming, we replaced all bearing pulleys, alternator was rebuilt, everything but the water pump because it was new,. so at the end we said wth,. lets take out the water pump,. well, the NEW water pump was f.. up,. the inner turbine was completely loose,. unbelieavable but true,. thk god they moved the race to this weekend so we were able to find the source of that noise and able to fix that. can't imagine racing with a faulty water pump, it gives me chills to think about that,.

in mexico there is only unleaded fuel:D, and really can't answer that :D:D

... well, we had a very good weekend, we placed 2nd in the race, roger norman placed 1st in the first heat, we were 4th, in the 2nd heat we placed 1st , at the end got beatten by 2 minutes,. awsome race, will place some pics and some videos later tomorrow,. i just want to go to sleep, :D

Congrats, Norman is tough competition. Engine must have run good to finish so well.

Tow truck got a busted injector half way too Ensenada, sow the chupakabras had to be driven in to town, then to Maneadero where the busted F150 was left for safe keeping, to Ojos Negros for the race the next day, 150 miles of race where it finish 2 minutes shy off the $30,000 pesos 7s payoff and the race overall and then, the drive back to Tijuana whit no apparent problems other than a busted tail ligth and a shock reservoir coming loose and disconnecting the coolant reservoir hose, no engine issues unless you count a stuck oil dip stick.
Chupas and Alex did a great job in their respective driving duty's (not hitting anything, hehehe..... man, that could have been trouble) and keeping a firm pace until the last 2 laps, when the the hard charged 7s trucks where paying the toll, and it worked. In a lot of ways, a fun weekend.

I was hoping to give you a nice video shots from our incar camera, but guess what, the video got fu.. up,. i dont know what happend but the audio was ok but the video not, i want to cry, we really had very good moments on the race,. damn, that s.. on the first heat i was a codog, on the second heat i was driving, so i wasnt able to take pics,. and the pics from our crew were kind of,. hhmmm,. hope to find more pics from spectators,. hhaha,. see yahh then,.

the intercom has an audio in for the ipod and an audio out jack,. we connected the audio from there,. it worked awsome,.
