I bought a pair of Mastercraft 3G's and would like to get feedback on mounting the seats and some pictures of what you guys have done on your race trucks for the connection to the seat and to the cage. I am close to starting the cage and will be using 2", would you recommend 2" across the floor area also for the seats to attach too?
Thanks in advance,
Bob

Thanks, do you have a closer picture of the connection from the seat to the bar?

Blanco has Beard style seats that mount with vertical tabs (as do I).

The Mastercraft seats mount with tubes that extend down below the seat and have horizontal tabs.

The tubes used as seat mounts do not need to be 2", mine are 1.5" just like in the pic of Blanco's car. Here is a pic:

If at all possible keep the rear cross bar behind the tabs. From experience with high G-loads and big guys the seat will flex enough to hit that bar if it is between the tabs. It looks like a lot of clearance but....better safe.

Yeah 2" seems overkill, & might force you to mount your seat up higher.
