ok, here is the deal..........

i have been wanting to do this for a couple of years now. finally got it in the works.

for this years baja 1000 we will be doing a fundraiser for the ASA. no, not the american sand association. it is the Autism Society of America. this fundraiser will be set as a pledge drive from people and companies. i was waiting to have my meeting with the ASA to make this public, but it is all a go now. we have set a date of 6 months to have our truck built and take it to the shows that are before the baja 1000. lots of long nights and weekends ahead!! we hope to get attention and more pledges and donations. our website is under construction at the moment, but please visit from time to time to check either progress or see who has jumped aboard to help our cause.

Why the ASA??? many of you dont know, but i have a 12 year old autistic son who is the BIGGEST off road race fan in the world. he loves going to all the races with me and helping all he can. since my employment at Jimco, he has been there at all pit meetings, pre-running, chasing, and helping pit the #20 trophy truck. With Jimco supporting us, i know this will be a huge success. pass the word around and do what you can for a fellow class 3 racer. we will be doing local TV news, radio and we are networking to get some off-road magazines to do a spread on our car and cause. bring some attention to the class as well. if you know anyone who can help, please let me know. we want all the exposure we can get.

and on a last note, i need to thank the people and business's that are helping to make this happen.........

Jimco for its full support and sponsorship
Off-Road Warehouse - John, thanks for your support and sponsorship
4 Wheel Parts, - Greg, thanks for your help and pledge
WireFab, thanks mark for your sponsorship
Fox Shox, - hey, only the best will do!!
Racer X Motorsports, big thanks to Mike over there!!

and the list will be growing!!

Roach, That is AWESOME!!! Let us know as soon as you get a pledge sheet/link posted to your site. I was ready to be your first Class3Racing pledger! :)

I have a close friend, neighbor, and a few co-workers with autistic children. My hat's off to you for making a difference. There were 2 Class 11's that did a fund raiser for Autism last year? Here is one of them...

I couldn't find the other, but they had their bug painted with all the puzzle pieces and numbers. Very cool.

I am a Fireman in Northern CA and I too, will be doing the same type of fund raising with my racing. I will be doing a pledge per mile with 100% going to the burn foundations for children. I would like to help both in the U.S. and Mexico. Not sure yet exactly how I'm going to do it, but I do have someone from the Alisa Anne Ruch burn foundation making contact with someone in Mexico about their burn center program. Good luck. You can count on me for a pledge!

he was diagnosed at age 3, and thank God, at age 12 he is considered "high functioning". he is mildly autistic. suffers mostly from lack of speach and understanding. he's a great kid. he will be down with me at the 500 and the 1000, as well as all the shows we make it to before the 1000.

hey you know, now that you mention it, maybe me and him should take a trip to the casino and see what happens.
