My name is Tom and I am the dad to 1971ford and trevorpiggott. Desert racing is definitely the theme around our house lately with Trevor catching the bug from his younger brother and beginning his class 3 build. Can't wait to figure out how we are going to be able to race two cars next year with no trailer! Gonna be interesting.

You could always rent or borrow trailers?

Why can't you just buy one? That's funny!!! My 15 yr old built a Class 8 legal truck for less than $3000 with little financial help from me. We can't afford to get into desert racing but we have done it anyways. We have lots of friends and supporters, I don't think transportation will be that big of a problem, just hate having to rely on others to get the job done.

I still don't own a trailer and I'm 51. That's why you need a team. My owning a trailer also came down to the fact that I haven't had room to store it. Remember, you can always flat tow it.

I will probably just make the Bronco race legal and have it ready to race just in case the 1971 Ford can't. In the mean time, it will make an awesome chase vehicle!
