I just finished cutting and raising the hood so it will fit. so on my way home i stopped by folsom lake to mess arround. the 68 has good power and feels more stable than i thought it would .The posi made it easy to do figure 8s but the steering was so slow (many turns) to keep the rig straight when comming out of a slide . What are some good options to to get closer to 1 1.5 to 1 ratio

I have the 4-1 box. A couple of years ago I bought a used quickenor like above. I thought a 2-1 wouyld be great but the other guys that drive with me didn't like the idea at all so I sold it without trying it. Still like the idea but I find if you let off the gas just a little it will stop sliding sideways so much:)

We have had one like in the picture above since we built the truck, and it works OK. When I first installed it, I somehow put it in backwards! REALLY slow steering! It steers fine in the dirt, but on the highway it is a little funky, just like my F350.

letting off the gas might be the fastest way to fix the problem. that quickner looks simple. I was wondering if you guys knew of a box swap that would work ?

It sounded like Chuck mentioned that he uses a 4:1 box. Is that the standard one or faster than stock? Autofab John is a good one to talk to, and there is also Howe. UMP did race modifications to 3 of my boxes, but I don't know for sure that they still do this work.
