Anger Issues Racing takes on the Norra Mexican 1000

Some of you have seen we are entered in the Norra race! This should be pretty dang cool!

As Raffo said tonight... Even if it's just him and me, racing to La Paz, we are "in"... because we CAN!

It's been very very hard working on the truck... without my dad. I miss him very much and hope to do a tribute/compilation video sometime closer to the Baja 1000.

This is basically a "trial run" for the Baja Mil anyway. I'm gunna let the girlfriend drive a long section with her dad (175 miles!). I expect they may trade off.

Well it sounds like a couple of you might come down... hope so.

I'll post lots of pics afterwards. The truck came home tonight after new upper and lower rear shock mounts and bumps. I decided (smartly) to farm that out. Anyone who has seen me weld would know why!!!

Looks more like he just peeled off most of his "Steekers". Good job powering on with your crew chiefs spirit by your side! Get those hubs drilled. See you in Mexicali, I'm ready for a Baja fix. Haha

Good catch on the "peeling vs painting"... ya, just peeled.

I peeled the Leavitt motorsports stickers... and all the rest off when I started working on the truck again. I did those sticker last year for my dad... sort of a surprise. Now that I'm the only Leavitt (until my 9 year-old can drive)... it was time for a change. It was too damn hard looking at the stickers. Once I started peeling, I just went on a roll.

ANYWAY: look for some really cool new shiat for the Norra race.

It's a last minute decision to go testing tomorrow... going to spend tonight at Gorman, and do some slow testing / suspension video shots tomorrow. Lots of changes to the truck, and I need to start slowly.

CAM, I DO need new C3R stickers for the truck. PLEASE either send them or bring them to me.

Glad to see you are busy. That is a good thing!!

was nice to meet you at la paz, sorry we missed the after party, something like sleep came up. we heard on the radio your gal beat the chase truck to the end of her stage - maybe you have found a new driver! nothing personal don (moss) but we might have a new (prettyer) face to lead class 3!

Hi everyone!

Sorry that I haven't been "on" to talk about the race or post photos/vids yet. We stayed extra days in Mexico, then came home to fatherly duties, then hit the music fesival at Piru (which pretty-much sucked)... ran into Cam and Maggie, and even threw a few lures on Sunday. Caught a bass on my 3rd cast and put the rig away!! :D

SO.... yes, it was a grand time!! Yes, Lara beat me to the end of her check (trading off driving with her pa Cal). I hung out way to long in San Ignacio like an expectant father, trying to stay in touch with them on the radio as long as possible. I truly forgot how long of a "commute" we had before us. She beat me there by something like 40 minutes! She was very upset with me (especially when she found out our pee-stop at Santispac involved a beer at the bar! (oops!! Thanks Cynthia for ratting me out, ha ha).

Well Lara did her story, I will ask if she would please post it here. I believe Moss did a write-up too. I have purposely not read any other recounts of the race, until mine is done.

BTW CAM, if you look "between my legs" in the second tequila shot, you will see your STEEEKER man.

Yeah it was great to see you again, Sorry I was in a rush, but I wanted to get the wire on my boat before they closed down the many gate to the boats.
