Good evening everyone. My name is Sam, I live in Dallas. I have been a spectator for a long time and am trying to learn enough to think about entering the sport myself.
I have been around trucks (big and small) my whole life. The truck enthusiast club I belong to is primarily into "slow-speed" four-wheeling (crawling, without the rocks). There doesn't seem to be much off-road "racing" in my neck of the woods of the four-wheeled variety.
I have a '77 and '79 International Scout II (neither set up for crawling). I would like to think that one could be converted (not much needed other than a new 2" roll-cage and fuel cell, and probably a gearing change) for Class 3.
Thanks for all your contributions to the site. I enjoy reading about your progress in the sport.
