so i see these things ALL the time for cheap. how practicle would it be to build a 3 on? Basically throw some good springs on the front with (2) 2.5 kings per side ... deavers in the rear with kings on a "bed cage" ....

think it would be possible? what would be advantages/disadvantages ... the only reason i like them is b/c they're "different" :D

Not very practicle I think. It all depends on if you are more interested in being different or Racing. There have been a few in the past the Pikes probably still have one in their stable. Ask Retro what he thinks about leaf springs all around. Remember all these trucks only become a class 3 after it starts its first race. Until then they are just projects. Base truck price is a tiny part of the cost (unless you run a new FJ or JK etc.)and Broncos can be had all day long under 1K also that run. About 90% of what you buy in the base truck goes back to the junk heap.

The OE D44 Front axles as configured by Dodge are junk from the "C" out...
Small Bearings and other dumb quirks and the brakes SUCK...

They just cost more money to build that's all.
I regularly dump the Ford brakes and go GM on my 3/4T builds because GM had a better design. Just like dropping the D60 Rear's in favor of the GM 14-Bolt Full Floaterz...

Baja Products out of fallbrook had one of WALKER EVANS chargers for sale for 3 years. It finally sold a little over a year ago, it was trick but basic and functional.

It was 2 wheel drive and pretty trick considering when it was built. If I am thinking of the same one it was strictly a really fast prerunner not built to fit any certain class.

Coils in front on 4wd = Ford!
One of the FEW things Ford got right!
