Contingency and you.

One of the things we can do to help our sport and class is pay attention to who supports us. When you are building a new rig or getting replacement parts take the time to look into who offers contingency money or parts and support for your class. One example is someone was going to drop a lot of cash on RG wheels because they look really nice. Well a certain Black Bronco picked up 4K bucks at the 1000 for finishing first with American Racing wheels. I dont know what RG contingency is if any for class 3.

If a Company offers support with parts, discounts, prize money or whatever we should support that by running their decals and mentioning their merits when appropriate. A pet peeve of mine is trucks plastered with decals for companies that charged them full price for the product and offer them no support for the free advertising they are giving.

If you know a vendor that can help our cause encourage them to offer some form of incentive. It doesnt take a lot of money to get every car in a class to run a sticker. There are some dead beat vendors out there to that claim to offer contingency and never pay up. Dont encourage them by advertising their stuff. (sometimes you still run their parts cause they work though)

^ that's rad for Dusty Times ... hell if you make it, even if last place, you made it! and that's saying a lot in Baja. I think that is awesome they offer that b/c even the guys that finish last should not be forgotten!

This thread, but mostly "the list" needs to be a sticky and kept up to date!
Heck, I am nowhere near starting my build, but I have several builds for non class 3 that I am or will be working on. IF I have a choice I'll choose off the list AND let the Mfg. know why!

Oh .. and when you order parts make sure you let them know they ARE for a CLASS 3 and you will be telling other Class 3 drivers ... keep the class motivation running forward.
