There were three in 3700. Sorry if I don't know BITD anymore. I gather Bunch is legal in class 3... how about the other guys?

thanks... armchair quarterback on this one; been listening to the race all day on weatherman and watching on RDC.

It used to be an awesome race, but not with the BLM any more.

They are tracking every car/truck that comes through with NO spares (calling them out on the radio for each other)... I guess they want to account for every one!! Some guys are calling in where they lost their spares.

I co-drove Macrae Glass's 8 truck. It was a fun race.We took 1st in class beating the Score and Baja 1000 winners from 2011. BITD penalizes you if you leave your flats out in the desert. Basically, Casey has to pick up each flat out there himself (there aren't enough volunteers to sweep the course) and he's tired of picking up our trash. So, if you leave a flat out there you get a penalty. They actually mark the rims and tires with your vehicle number.

I co-drove Macrae Glass's 8 truck. It was a fun race.We took 1st in class beating the Score and Baja 1000 winners from 2011.

The rpm/speed class 8 had motor failure, Otherwise rudy is one hell of a driver and will give you a run for your money, that is the old got milk truck and it has a very healthy expensive engine. the general tire Kore truck busted up an A arm and had no spares, That truck just had the front and rear suspension rebuilt from scratch and the bugs are not worked out of them yet. The kore team is disorganized and has lost most of its good guys as of lately, now working with a shoestring budget at best. That truck does have a new mopar tweeked v10 crate engine it that is in the 700 hp range and it weights about 200lbs less then a big block, time will tell.
I love the fact an i beam truck won, good for you guys, congrats. It was nice to see so many 8 trucks out there as well. Do you have any info on the guy with the f100, i think it is black or dark grey, interesting truck.

Did the glass truck have an engine issue ? not running all cylinders towards the end ?

That older grey truck took a DNF. It was his 1st race and he built it himself in a 14' garage!!!

And, yes we had engine problems. But, Macrae has a new engine ready to go. He was planning on swapping them out this week even before the race.

I started 4th to last off the line,i did great in the cj7 cruizing at a nice pace then mac and bj and robby passed me like a b1 bomber doing a fly by-holly crap,i just got passed by robby gorden!we got a flat at mile 72,took 20 minutes as we checked fluids and cleaned aircleaner sock,got going again and battled the parker course and ran out of gas 4 miles to main pits,20 minutes down got going again and turned the jeep over to ocsar mcclure and he got out 37 miles on lap 2 and lost the fan belts,bitd would not lets us go in and fix.....dnf
but i had a blast and lots of good times!!!!!!drew garcia #1809

How big were the ruts from all the trophy trucks and class 1 cars in the python ? Was it chilly in the jeep early in the day ?
you will be back, parker is a great race, it is to the point they need to run the trophy trucks and class 1 guys the day before or preferably after since they tear the course up so bad for the challenged classes { everybody else }

Regarding the jeep that got burnt, i read they were punted by a faster class. Thought it was a no no to touch a blue light vehicle no matter what.

It was freezing in the morning waiting for 2 hours.Course was rough and whoop at every slow down area and turn other then that we had a nice pace except the power line road,that silt almost ate us untill we got off and drove between the power lines.I got hit hard by letner .he lawn darted us 12 ft off course drifting.weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.Total carnage everywhere,i was dodging race vehicals ,tires,jacks,led light bars,1 piece hoods,the road by bouse is high speed,a tt flew off course like 50 yards landed upside down on top of a hill,crazy!

What is up with these fast guys punting slow class vehicles, someone is going to get hurt badly if this keeps up. An other reason to run the fast classes on a different day. It is unbelievable how many trophy trucks and one cars there are these days. Where do these guys get there money ? I must be doing something wrong.

Not too sure what you mean by this. So if someone gets nerfed, they must be doing something wrong ? Its only a matter of time before some country clubber in a 750 hp monster creams some poor guy in his 1600, jeepspeed etc and someone gets hurt badly. What will your comments be then ?

The lady co-driver of the Jeep that caught fire almost died out there. One of our guys is an EMT and he totally saved her life. She was crashing and the BITD EMT"s weren't on their game. Luckily, our guy had his kit with him and he got her stabilized before the chopper came in to take her out!!!!!

Wow,i hope she is ok.I got nerfed 3 times hard and i did not hold them up more then 5 seconds.all 3 did not honk or siren me ,they just came up fast and hit me.All others sirened me and i moved quick.But im not complaining ,i had a blast and the parker locals are awesome,cant wait to go back!
