Ok, so since I'm considering Racing Class 3 some time in the near future, I'm wondering what it's gonna cost to enter a Race?

Do all SCORE race's cost the same to enter?
I would imagine the 1000 would cost more to enter than lets say the Laughlin challenge?
I know I've seen Don & Kens Plaque.

But what might he of won besides that?
Ok I know some sponsors pay $100.00 per win & such & with enough sponsors paying out you can get $500 - $1000 at a race & I hear that SCORE somehow pays the winner something based on the number of entries?

& what about MORE, MDR, BITD, SNORE, CODE & the others?

I also know theres no chasing at Laughlin & Primm for SCORE race's.

What about most of my Local course'es?..

Does MDR/MORE allow chasing at all their races?

I'm asking all this because it will give me a target race to try out 1st when I'm ready..

When my brother and I started to race, we chose the local smaller races, both MDR and MORE and had a great time. It is a lot easier on the wallet and setting up pit support is also easier as all of the course's use a 50+/- mile loop. It also makes pre-running easy as the courses are all pre-marked and can easily be done in a days time. I would not try SCORE until I had perfected my driving skill and had buildt a proven vehicle.

Well the way I see it as of now is that if I do any sorta SCORE race it would probably be Laughlin. because its very short & if I brake should be easy get me..
the biggest reason I'd wanna race SCORE would be able to race against my friends. :)

Other wise I do plan on the local MORE races..

But what does MORE cost to race ?
& what the prize for winning?
& are their any sponsorship money for wins?
etc etc etc........

we like to run the SNORE races too ... and they're cheap (usually around $100 or so for a Class 11)! haha ... the battle at primm is a FUN race IMO, prob. on of my favorites. i think the racers at the SNORE events are great too. you'll get invited to partys and such before the race and overall just a really fun time.

the SCORE stuff is expensive ... but to get to pay to run in such a historic race is cool IMO.

The advantage to the MDR races is that there are usually other class 3's to run against.

SNORE doesn't have a Class 3 per say, but I talked to the tech director about 2 weeks ago and he said that it would not be a problem since they basically use the SCORE rule book. He said as long as it's SCORE C3 legal they'll make C3 entry if it's one vehicle or a dozen. And with the cheap entry fees (and closeness to home for us here in Vegas) it seems like a good mesh. Hopefully when we can get our 3 built we can start running there and drum up more interest in the class in SNORE.

Thats what I should run & if I'm the Only Class 3 Maybe I'd have a chance at winning!
