well im stuck with my four door explorer and Score will probaly send me to class seven. So im looking for a bronco. Ive found a couple of cheap one but they all needed motor work or a new motor. Im looking for a bronco with a fuel injected and descent motor. Ill even settle for minor engine problems. so if you know of someone id really like to get started on my class 3. Thinking of racing the record series race thats coming up in september and making some money to make my class 3 dependable. alright well if you know where or someone who has one, id appreciate some pics and price.

i was thinking of something under $3,000. i just want the motor to be in good shape and fuel injection. And also i want to try and find one that does NOT have the push button 4x4.

Dirtlover, that's way to much money to spend on a truck to use as a starter for a build. You can find them pretty regularly between FREE and $500. You should shoot for one that is as close to FREE as possible and spend that $3K on a motor and/or trans. If you are doing a budget build, Roach has a decent C6 for sale for about $150 I think. Then at least for $3K you would have a truck with a good motor and a decent (not full race) trans.

yeah i found a couple of very good prices but they've all had a a carburator.. i use to have a bronco ll and on the whoops the motor would backfire and just gave me problems.so right now im thinking of going to a wreching yard or buying any bronco and then just installing the motor that i want later on.

Hey Dirt Lover, I'd go for a 1986 Bronco with the FEI 351W engine and a C6 transmission. You can always update the front clip with fiberglass fenders, hoods and grille. And you'd be well under 3K.

I tried to get some guys together to buy that bko for parts without much luck. I might still pick it up for the tranny alone.

You don't want that tranny if its for a race truck. That tranny is going to be an overdrive.

I called the owner and he is asking 25k. It has a solo motorsport front end, autofab rear link set up with deaver springs and a fully cages from bumper to bumper. This thing is awesome. He told me that the paint is a toyota vehicle color. I'm sure it would clean up really nice.

I don't know, the thought has definitely crossed my mind. Maybe if he went down a little. The truck is actually located a mile or so from my dad's house so I should stop and check it out when I get back to LA.

That Bronco (BSB) Big Strokey Bronco i believe is fixed. That roll occurred at the 05' 1000 at night near RM 130 Locosmocos pit. I think it is all fixed up and was at the 500 in some pics on the locosmocos web site i'll try to confirm though....
Rocketman
06-12-2007, 11:16 AM
BSB took a 45mph plus snap-roll or 2 and came to rest on all 4's (this is all 2nd hand info from the campfire)
No alcohol was hurt in the making of this crash
additional note heard all the expensive stuff has been fixed on the BSB but some cosmetic stuff still remains and not for sale....

Oh ya, if you're looking for $25000 prerunner Broncos; there's two of them worth checking out on Bajabrokers. The red one is differant (2wd and chevy powered) but very, very nice and the white one has an interesting roll cage and engine cage design but also worth a look.

PS: notice the prerunner f150 crew for $525,000.00 on the same page!!!

Great list 151 but I just seems so wrong to buy a Ford with a Chevy engine. It would turn my whole world upside down. Before you know it, cats and dogs would be getting along. It's just too crazy to even think about it.

I agree, the two greatest engines I've ever owned were a 5.0L and a 350 Chevy, but the 5.0L was by far the best. My 5.8L is working it's way into the mix too. You can't ignore that red bronco though; the thing is gorgeous.
There was a Bronco for sale that had a very similar paint job to the Rough Rider Bronco, also very clean. I'll see if I can find that one as well.

A stroked LS Chevy is all natural. Lightweight, cheap, simple hooked to a cheap and simple t-400. Yeah, I'll take one in a Bronco..
