Chris, Centurion was an aftermarket customizing company, Like roll-a-long. They would take trucks and kinda trick them out. So he was honest, he said it was an f150 centurion.

Yes, it puts the side wall too far out on the rim in a more unprotected area. More vulnerable to punctures and tears from rocks, branches and roots.... 7 or 7.5" wide rims with bead locks is ideal with 12.5" wide tires.

Oh really?
Yo, Moss what size rim you running?
I'm pretty sure he's running an 8" rim.
Personally I feel a 7" rim would be too narrow for a 12.50 tire.
But hey, maybe thats just me. http://www.thewebwheeler.com/forums/images/smilies/shrug.gif

That's just you :-). I run 7.5 Ford/Alcoa rims on my EB with 35/12.5s and really like them. The Protrucks run 7" rims with 35/12.50s and no issues.

100,000 mile big block motor doesn't usually get the best of milage. Brand new that thing probably got 8 mpg, going down hill, with the engine shut off.:D
Yeah I guess a diesel would be your best bet but what the hell. I could never stand the sound of a diesel engine. Sounds like a bunch of hamsters running around under the hood.

I got another little-one on the way (already have a 6 month old ), might be time for four doors. Ever tried to put a carseat in the rear seat of a Bronco; what a pita.

Ha! I feel ya brutha! I've been doing that for the last 6 years. Yeah, that's right. Six long years. Two more years and no more! And while that's great, the best part of raising kids in the back seat of a Bronco is..........they love the "bumpy ride". Everytime I go out, they want to be right there with me. Man, I need a tissue.

The little one already appreciates the view from the higher than normal vantage-point provided to her by the unusually high rear seat of the bronco along with the 37" tires and red-neck 4" lift. Sounds like the Explorer is up your alley too!:p
Honestly, I think Explorers make great off-road wagons. They're essentially the same as Broncos. Add a D44 TTB front end, matching rear end and some suspension goodies and you've got yourself a vehicle that'll blow the doors off a Bronco and haul a family of 4!
Damn, now I miss my Explorer again.

This is why I always post the exploders for you. You usually end any post about explorers with that phrase.:p
If I knew then what I know now about Exploders, especially that they offered 5.0s in 97-98, I would have definitly bought an explorer instead of the Bronco. I love my Bronco but four doors would be sooooooo nice. Add to that the engine is essentially a gt40, the transfer case can be swapped easily, and you can get travel and strength from a simple D44 swap...
Damn, I miss the Explorer I should have bought.

I emailed the guy. He actually bought those yesterday and discovered he needed a different model for his 85. He paid $200 and wants $175. Says they're in great condition with no holes drilled, just some minor trimming and a few scuffs from moving them around. They're 4.5 bulge, so i passed on them. A bit too wide for a Class 3 IMO.
