Anybody know where I can find more pics of this rig? Tried searching Super Moto page, could't find. Anyone know what year this thing is? Thanks for any help.

Hey Beast,

I believe that's Chris Wilson's Bronco. I've seen pictures of that rear bumper at Race-Dezert.com. I believe that bumper was built by Complete Fabrications in El Cajon. You can talk to Glen there to confirm.

Here is the link I found with a pic of Chris Wilson's yellow Bronco: http://www.race-dezert.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19824&page=2&highlight=chris+wilson+bronco

Yes, that's Chris's truck. He's also on this forum under "baja chris". That jack quit working while prerunning for the 500 so it's out in the boonies near Mike's Sky Ranch somewhere, I believe :-). Chris's truck is an '89 and is a very well-built and functional prerunner.

That bumper really needs a full cage. I have the top hinge attached to the body and backed up with structure that directly ties into the cage there.

We did the same bumper on my Dad's bronco without a cage (no top hinge, no body contact) and it moves around a lot more and really sags when open. We should have used a bigger trailer hub to get a thicker axle. The gate swings on the hub axle with a 4130 tube slipped over it. The hub itself is turned down on a lathe and fit into the bumper part. I think the link to RDC a few posts earlier shows the details.

BTW, we are now putting a full cage in my dad's bronco and will modify his swing gate to add a top bushing so it's captured to the body and cage like mine.

Mine is still rock solid.

Hey Chris,

Got anymore detailed pics of your rig and bumper that you wouldn't mind sharing. I want to take my Bronco in that direction and yours is pretty close to what I am after. Thanks for any help.
