Hello Off Road Fans
First let me say Welcome to all the new visitors that signed up for the MAORA eNews. Spike TV`s coverage of the MAORA Fall Classic at Lincoln Trail Motosports Park near Casey, Illinois generated a lot of traffic in the ol` email box. MAORA races twice a year at the track featured on Spike TV. The Fall Classic is scheduled to return the last weekend in September. The third weekend in May will also play host to an endurance race at Lincoln Trail. The schedule at the end of this news letter is tentative but was voted on and accepted at the MAORA annual meeting.
I`ve received several requests for truck class rules and a 2007 schedule. The 2007 rule book is not yet available but I have put together a quick reference for Class 7e stock trucks. Click Here Rule changes for the truck classes in 2007 are posted atwww.maoraracing.com. The 2006 rule book can be downloaded from there also.
Congratulations to Justin Brummer MAORA 2006 Rookie of the Year !!! Justin won the Class 7 title in 2006 and rumors have it that he is fielding a new Class 7e truck in 2007, way to go Justin. MAORA has elected a hard working group of officers for the 2007 season. After a shaky start with a shuffle in club management, this gang hit the ground running. The club secretary in a recent interview stated that the officers had decided to compete for racers with the new WSORR by scheduling races on the same dates. They have other obstacles to face this year as well, replacing the contingency services provided Jim Connor, moving the series into Eastern Indiana at a new track, finding a replacement for tracks that will not be back this year and dealing with another popular stop on the series that is for sale.
