A silly queston..
the Front & Rear suspension must be of the same basic design & concept as originally produced & installed on the chassis to which it mounted.
could one wanted to be different, could they swap a straight axle to the front of a late model Bronco? Or a TTB on the back?
if you went front & rear TTB, its still the factory suspension, isnt it? Sure I know the Factory did'nt offer a TTB rear.
Example:

& I could see no advantage to doing this... except made full independent suspension & yes I see the arguments involved in such an idea..
I have seen Formula Off Road racers with this on their crazy hill climbing maching though.( above Pic is Not an example of Formula Off Road )
it is a factory for '80+ suspension designs.
its just that it was never ment to be on the rear....
Just wondered what your thoughts on this might be? http://www.thewebwheeler.com/forums/images/smilies/shrug.gif

up front they had coils...correct.
but the factory was leaf in the rear....so I suppose you 'could' do a D50 TTB from like a F250 (that had leaf)
i think the intent is original to type at axle location.
interesting concept though.

I don't have my rule book with me, but I think that if it came with a solid axle, it has to remain a solid axle. If it came with a TTB, it has to remain a TTB......front and rear as from factory.

Well I can see that, because the Book states: Suspension must retain the original design & concept.
Time for another rule change Vote! http://bestsmileys.com/lol/5.gif

This is a little off topic, but, Polaris makes a quad called the outlaw with full independant suspension. the dealer told me the thing rides like a cadillac in the hardpack and washboards, but handles like crap in the sand. Im sure that setup on the bronco has a smooth ride, but it kinda seems like it would produce WAAY to much body roll though.
Ive heard of people running a dual transfercase, I bet thats how he pulled that off. I dunnno though...
