Class 4100 is BITD's stock full size SUV class. That FS Bronco used to rule that class until some people started building the Expeditions. I think those same guys finally moved up to an Exp as well. Also notice all the Exploders running the 3100 numbers, that's the stock mini SUV class. The reason those classes were so big was all the Ford money. I think if you had the money up front to take a new Ford, cut it up and make it a racer, then consistently finish at the front, you could pay for your racing with winnings and contingency.

So if you were to race BITD, you'd run stock full?

Thanks for the info Don.

But there is not class 3 per say in BITD right? However you can run 4x4 SUV's in other classes?

Yes, a lot of it depends on the wheel base and how much you want to tweek the suspension and various parts. There are several classes, including the 4100 and 1800

If everybody wants to run bitd, then we can all get together and tell Casey we have enough people to field a class.

... and BITD courses are know to be some of the most difficult around. Casey is good at marketing. He tells us (in Class 11) "oh yeah it's a fun course that will be no problem for you guy" and he tells the Trick Truck/TT guys "oh it's a real challenging course that will test your skills" ... bottom line, all his are HARD. Qutoe from Mike Shaffer about the Pahrump race: "It was the most difficult race we've been in" ... and that's including his 1000 win last year! They were stuck in silt for over 3 hours up there! Also on the cover of one of the offroad rags last month was the headline "Parker 450: Most difficult offroad event ever?" or something to that effect.

Yeah BITD doesn't have C3, but .. with enough support and harassing Casey maybe they would bring it back. But just be ready for a pounding if you run them. *wink*
