Im thinking of building a 66 Bronco I have laying around and I was wondering if I could get away with 3 link coilover on the front end. Stock it has radius arm with coils. I have seen class 3 Broncos with both but the 3 link one was older, 96 I think.

Yes, you can. .....and just for info, 66 is older than 96. :D

Sorry I should have made that more clear.... One of the class 3 early broncos I had seen had radius rods. The older class 3 early bronco I had seen with 3 link last ran in 96.

Yes, you're thinking of Robert Hayley's old Class 3 EB - now owned by Shaun Bryant at Rocky Roads. Sloppy front end handling.

I am waiting on my rulebook but I read some ware on this site that the front axle had to be stock for that vehicle. Now are we on the same deal with the engine where I can run the ttb because it came in a "bronco" at one time or another?

You can NOT swap a TTB into an early Bronco..

If it was me, I'd go with some extended radius arms up front. West Coast Broncos' units would work fine.

The West Coast Broncos extended radius arms do work well, we have several thousand race miles on ours. Then save up your pennies for good shocks. There are lots of good ones, however they are expensive!
Does work well. Plus drives nice too. Gotta keep the trac arm and steering in the same arc. 3 link doesn't let it have any arc.

You could if you started with a Bronco II chassis and then dropped an EB tub on it though, right?
It was an easy bolt on. Like Todd wrote, The brake lines will have to be modified. The issue is the 7/16 fitting. I just ordered new lines from Summit. I lucked out being friends with the owner of the brake company that supplies the kits to many bronco and streetrod places.
Paul (the owner) told me that the caliper that takes the banjo fitting is for a Jeep truck and is just a modified T bird/Ltd caliper.
Somewhere there is a good write up on it. I’ll see if I can find it.
