Alot of people at Primm were telling me how SCORE's just gottin out of control & that their considering not racing SCORE anymore.

I heard a few People Mention how much the like CODE & BITD..

I've been considering not going for the SCORE legal cage & just building it to MORE/MDR legal rules.

Because $3,425.00. is just INSANE! http://www.thewebwheeler.com/forums/images/smilies/mad.gif

That would be the payout portion x number of entries in the class. The number of entries in the class will dictate how many places are paid out.
So 1250 X number of entries = purse for the class.

Racing Class 3 means not very much :)

At prices like that is anyone surprised why the numbers will be so low?

I hate to say it but that much money is not going to fly with us if we are going to try and run 2,3, or 4 races a year. I understand that it is a race of a lifetime but thats just the entry fee, not including expenses. I thought it was like 1500?? or is the 1000 just that much more expensive than the rest of them? Reading that really just bumbed me out.

the point to point run is always more expensive. i think when we did the '04 run it was $2000+, yet the other racers are usually about $1300-$1500.

payback is based on entries, but second place does not get any payback until a minimum of 6 entries have showed up.

if you are die hard for racing mecxico like i am....................you have CODE - and they usually run run alot of the Score courses, and you have the choice of Score Sportsman class. all the fun with a whoping $1300 less on the entry fee. no cash back though, only trophies.

Not too long ago there was a thread on here about a possible suspension rule change. Could you guys that race petition a reduction in fees? Sorry if it's a dumb question but that is a chunk of change for a race.

that's too much money, we are building our truck with second hand parts, trying to save some cash, for what, to pay that amount of money, that's crazy, i prefer to invest that amount of cash on better parts and do the less expensive races, our participation in the 1000 it's in jeopardy, will see, wanna cry, really wanna be there,,. :(:(:(

I mean, i guess its only 1500 more than a normal race, and like someone said, if you split it with several people its not that bad, but still. Its the principle of it.
