I just finished a race. That's the reason we're giving the thumbs up. It was my second race and we finished 4th out of a field of 27. Yeah, I would have hated to roll that thing. The roll bars were only mounted on the body, not the frame.I only did three races in it before I got a buggy. I was 17 in this picture. The funny thing was I didn't even have the money to buy those tires and wheels. Two of the guys that are on the truck are brothers that happened to have a Land Cruiser themselves. When they saw me running stock tires, they offered to lend me theirs. So we took out a hacksaw before the race and cut out the fenders. The engine was still the stock six with a few Man-A-Fre goodies, Rochester 2 barrel, Delco distributor, and a header. The suspension mods were limited to a set of Monroe Load Levelers. The shocks, for those of you who weren't born yet, had a helper spring.
