Hey fellas -- Doug sent me this video from his team at last year's 1000. Take a look. Everything seems to be going fine...nice, straight, smooth road...and then...

Just a reminder for everyone this year -- don't let your guard down for a minute! Danger is just around the next corner in Baja!

The good news is that they overcame this, and finished 3rd. That's a helluva testament to their determination!! Well done!

you can expect that to happen many times!!!! cant tell you how many times that has happend to me, a sharp turn you did not know about!!! ouch!

my good news is i still have have gone sunny-side-up yet on one of these.

old racers will tell you..........DONT GET OFF THE GAS!!!! you are no longer in control at that point!. another thing that helps ALOT is steering quickners or quick-steer boxes. look how many times the guy has to turn the wheel!! YIKES!

hey, and i know that if you have not rolled an off-road truck it is only a matter of time, so i am not bashing.......................but - is that not a GPS i see in front of the co-dog?? gotta call them out as you see them.

either way, glad to see you guys finished. anyone who stuffs it, rolles it, or breaks down - and will do what it takes to still finish has got one on everybody else who did not! thats good enough for me.

Hard to tell, but was he still driving with one hand when he flipped? Drivng into the sun is a bitch. I normally have black electrical tape on my shield so that I just have to look down slightly to block the sun and I leave a stub to pull a row off just in case I need to make an adjustment or for night running.

oh man, that was scaryyy, glad they went ok on that one,, it looks like they didn't expect that curve, what happend to the gps?, at last baja 500 i was pretty mad with my co driver because at leas 3 times he didn't warn me about an unexpected sharp curves ahead, and i almost went straight down on those curves, but well, i think he was just enjoying the scenario, haha, :D:D
