I've been thinking about alot of the Course's I've run & & theres alot of different sorts of terrian out there.

I personaly have a weird fear of hights & the idea of tall cliffs like what what #876 drove off conserns me.. :o

So from what you racers have run whats a better race course for a Newbie.?

Well Primm has no cliffs, but is rough, rocky, and over-used. i say get comfortable with the high roads, and understand you CAN go slow there. The 250 in Ensenada didn't really run up high. Consider a SNORE or MDR race as a good place to get some miles and save some money.

Yeah, I've run both Barstow & Lucurne & I know I like those.. :)

I always figured the local mdr or more races would be a great way to start. Lower entry fee and being loop courses pitting would be a lot less of a hassle.

CODE!! all the way.

why?

if you like racing in Baja as much as i do, well there you go.

for example, next month they are running from Mexicali to San Felipe. no cliffs and lots of fun. plus the enry fees rival that of MDR. what more do you want Cam? cool race, cold beer, and finish with cheap fish tacos!!!:D

Actually, that is a great point.

I've raced one CODE race a while back with Colemane and the Lawrence family, and it was cool.

I still say we get together and create our own damn points race where we pick the races that WE class 3 racers want... a couple of major ones, a couple of minor ones... we move our money around and get more bang-for-the-buck.

I guess I should get off my butt and do something about it...

You know I've never heard anybody who has raced CODE say anything but great stuff. Those guys must be doing something right.

Also I agree about creating a seperate "coalition" series. I'm pretty sure those guys from class 11 coalition did that and just today I read a post on dr about some 1450 guys possibly doing the same thing.

I should look into what this means...or entails.

might be something I can get behind once I start racing.
