It has been all on the BITD website, and has been a very good program. I have not looked to see if the 2008 program has been announced yet, probably not. I am sure that Kreg has a all the latest info.

Ford is promoting their latest vehicles, and heavy in the stock classes. That's why you see almost all the entries are Fords. They will still pay for older Ford vehicles to win. For instance it is considerably less for a Bronco than it is for an Expedition. As I recall, the maximum payout for winning some of the classes was as much as $8000, pretty good change, but then you have to remember you have to cut up a new truck to get that kind of award. The Safari class is not included.

'96 and older they only payout 50% of the posted amount....so in the case above they would only payout $4000. Yes, they want you to run more current vehicles to help them sell trucks.

We had hoped to track down the Ford rep at the Vegas to Reno race, but never did find him. When you want straight answers, go to the source.

You can get some parts if you have a current production vehicle. We get parts for our Ranger (Stock Mini) from Ford. Engines and trannies aren't real common/plentiful. Sheetmetal and some suspension pieces are.

I raced in BITD in both class 3100 (stock mini SUV) and class 8100 (stock full) and I won some of their money.

Ford offers both the awards program and the "parts for performance" program.

Unfortunately, class 3000 (closest to class 3) is not included in the awards program, 4100 (Stock full SUV) could be raced in a Bronco but it would have to be built to stock class rules ( not class 3). Otherwise a class 3 Bronco could be raced in class 1800 (sportsman) with the chance to win $500 for a first place finish.

The "parts for performance" program really only applies to current model trucks raced in the stock classes and provides replacement parts when failed factory parts are returned with detailed information.

The following is a link to the awards program rules: http://www.bitd.com/downloads/Ford2007PerfAwards.html
