JTR Rm 1166 12:30 PM

I will try to have a story of our events later on. It wont be as lavish as Don's accounts.

We made it to mile marker 1166. Not bad for a bunch of novices who have never raced off road before. Some of us had racing experience and one of our members had raced a bike in a Score race. We did however have four veteran off road racers who ran chase with us (great guides) .

I had some co driving my belt back in the early 90s. But it never entered an off road race.
Our whole effort was put together in two months including the Jeep restoration and chase trucks. We almost had finished third until I blew a headgasket. And ran out of time.

I would very much like to hear about your race! It looks like there are some dings in the ROOF in that one picture, I really want to hear about that. You said the Jeep was "restored", so it sounds like you didn't start completely from scratch on the truck. In 2 months, that would be some kind of superhuman effort.

Ya, i'd like to hear all about ya'lls build and race. I love the grand cherokee's and thought about them as a platform before. 1126 is a finish in most races, sounds like you guys built a solid truck.

Is there a review of the truck/build on here? I'm curious on suspension and driveline.

Thanks.
