E4OD to C6 transmission

My buddy is thinking of swapping out his current 1990 Ford Bronco transmission (E4OD) to a C6. Has anyone done this swap. Is it a straight swap? He is currently running the original 5.8 engine with, I believe at NP205 transfer case. Any info would be helpful. Thank you.

Our E4OD in our 96 Bronco only lasted two races before it gave up. We changed to the C6 and the problem we had was the computer for the EFI did not work without the trans. You can buy a stand alone computer for the EFI or change to a carb. Other then the computer issues the swap is easy. (Remember the C6 is shorter so the mount location is different.)

& you'll lose your overdrive so choose your axle gear ratios with that in mind.

i have a C-6 out of an 83 bronco. it was rebuilt a couple of K miles ago. has a shift kit. comes with rebult tourqe converter to, just no transfer case though. e-mail me if interested.
