new years race

My husband Tim and I are going. We will be driving our dunebuggy with a white body and yellow frame with a roof rack on top. Our bronco is in the shop. We will be taking pictures for San Diego Off Road Magzine. If you see us stop by and say hello. Happy New Year!

Blanco did you make it to the New Year Race? My husband and I did a pre run around the track the day before. Just one lap in our buggy. The terrain was crazy. Around Check point 13 there was tons of silt. We barely made it through. During the race we had a friend drive over to that spot in his jeep and he said there were about 13 racers stuck at one time. We had a great time. We did not see any class 3. :( The photos we do have are being looked through before we put them up on are sight.

Naw I Stayed home & went Mud Whompin in my Sammy instead.

I spent the week end out at ocotillo with the intentions of cruising over to watch the race however on Saturday my shock hoop had a bit of a "malfunction":(

I heard that silt at rm 13 was intense. An aquaintance of mine was with a group racing two 5 cars - both of which blew their motors going through that section the day before the race.
