This has been discussed many times & I suspect most race teams would prefer you not know what problems they might be having, or how much of a lead they have.
I know I would'nt feel to comfy knowing about 100 people are listening to all we say.

Race teams do not have to post there freaquencies if they are not comforable doing it....but I am sure there are some other frequencies out there that people will enjoy without compromising a teams winning.

NO, and this happened to me, got to pit 1, they where a little tipsy, slow, and did not notice grease seeping out of my front right hub, causing a DNF.
I saw said seepage on a photo I bought from a freelance photographer in Ensenada after the race, shot taken before arroyo Guadalupe, well before pit 1. Only made it 150 or so miles, to El Rayo, lost bearings, locks, and, eventually the whole hub asembly. NOW, this happened a long time ago, maybe they have gotten better, still chaps my hide, thoug...

Were you paying them for Pit support?
We're part of their group?

Yes, I paid, even got a bright orange shirt from them, with our race number on it, along with the rest of the racers being serviced by them. it was the '97 B500:eek:

Hey change of plans, we are no longer running the MDR night race. we all sat down and decided it would be more worthwhile for us to race the Score 500 on may 29th, 30th, and june 1st. just a heads up, anyone else running??????

You had better get busy, most racers plan for months.
Racing in Baja is a huge undertaking compared to any MDR race, particularly with respect to logistics.
Are you racing in class 3?

That is quite a change of plans, but should give you a lot more of a challenge and a much higher rating on the adventure scale. I certainly applaud the decision. What class? Basically a week to make plans makes it even more of a challenge, but since it is a loop race, it is possible. Do you run BFG tires so you can qualify for BFG support? Their registration closes on 5/21, so you still have time, highly recommended. We can provide you with technical assitance regarding logistics if you need it, but we plan to use a pretty small crew for this one.

Yeah it was pretty last minute. We are currently registered for 7 Open. Yeah, as far as time we are cutting it really close. the truck is completely torn apart and Im going over every last detail, shes gunna be spotless for contingency, we just went out last weekend to test and had our shock guy go with us to plaster city, he set us up to where we picked up 20 MPH through Pit Row (for MDR) but we snapped a cross section of engine cage but thats about done.
No unfortunately we are not running BFG's. (I wish...) we have 4 sets of Kumho's that were used corr tires. Basically brand new when we got them. weve put about 2400 miles on them and we are changing them after this race.
As far as support we have probably 30-40 people going to help out, 12 people including myself as chasers, and a few people here and there that drop by to see whats up. If any of you are running stop by any of the 905 pits, hell if you need us to take gas for you to give you a splash at a certain point we'd be more than happy. As far as Im concerned anyone racing is family...
