and BTW, I'd LOVE to see us add a short-course race to our venue. I think Raffo would love that too, he has quite a bit of experience doing those, I think.

What about the Baja Cup at Glen Helen? That's a short course race.

Maybe we should contact the Scaroni's and see if there is a venue that they will be racing with their mini-trophy trucks where they could use some filler.

5.38 gears Sounds like short course gearing to me. How'd you pick that ratio?

based on what the motor would handle and potential top speed of the truck since we really never get to use it

Vorra's not a bad idea for the Class 3 Cup. The Lovelock race is about a 1/2 hour from Reno and was a lot of fun. It is 60 mile laps, not much whoops, not too bad of silt, and several fast smooth sections....and it is Cheap to enter! It was my first race (driving) in my buddys class 11.

I run a 4.56 with a 35 Baja for desert running. I ran a 5.89 with a 33" bfg mud terrain at Crandon.

That sounds like a perfect set up. ideally we would love to have two trucks short course and long course.

Cool, I'll have to check out Yerington this year. I've never been there to compare the two. Thanks.
