Before we actually VOTE on races to run, let's decide HOW MANY.

I'm sticking to the Mint and Vegas to Reno.

NOBODY IS REQUIRED TO RUN any of the races, but the CUP will be determined by the number of races. Some series', like pro-truck allow you "drop" a race, in case you can't make one, so I will try to include that as well.

Once we determine the number of races, we will have to put "time-frames" together that work (like we can't obviously have two cup races two weeks apart).

So here we go:

Start conservatively. Besides, that's about all that I can commit to run.

Not to piss anyone off but there is more action on the T shirts than on setting a schedule. When can we expect something more as far as schedule and rules and other important stuff. Put me down for a XL shirt through.:D

I think 3 with no drop or 4 with a drop. Any more and wewon't be able to make 'em. I think for the first year or two starting with 3 races is a good idea. It will keep the scheduling easier, and will be more likely to get enough racers that will actually be able to hit all three races. .02

I know that we will not be able to take the time or afford more than 3 races for the first few years right now.

I sorta agree....
But then again I'm not a current racer.. :o
But as long as we dont demand too much right off the start might seem easier for people to take part in. http://thewebwheeler.com/forums/images/smilies/shrug.gif

i'm with raffo. the way fuel is running it's expensive even to watch a race.. i've got my bronc all cut up at the moment seeing what i can salvage so i don't know how many i could make. i think maybe having a "cup" entry fee of a hundred bucks or something on the side might be fun. it could be for the whole series and would be something in the pot at the end of the year for the diehards.

thanks for chiming in Kirk (or is that Kurt?)!!

Kudos too... for the guy with this post: "there is more action on the shirts thread than setting the schedule... BUT PUT ME DOWN FOR AN XL" f'ing classic!!

I think, unless the board poo-poos it, we should just do 4 with a drop. I can't see any reason this doesn't work for anyone. We might have to think about the 1000 "results". That is one race where a DNF should not put you out of the points entirely. At any race, if you run all 4 you can drop your worst. If you can't make 4, you better make your three count!!

SO THANKS ALL... 12 votes and I think it enough feedback to move forward. I have a funny feeling we are looking at the MINT, the Vegas to Reno, the 1000... and an MDR or MORE race, but the final race for 2008 should be voted on. See next pole!!

NOW... on to vote on the races and the points. We must address this SSWB vs SWB thread... sigh.

:o)

how come nobody voted: "I don't really care because I'm not wearing any underwear"?
