sorry to bombard you guys, but we have to get some things nailed down and moving forward, and this seems to be the best way. We get your votes and can have a discussion at the same time.
Cam is keeping track of "who" votes for me, so I know which Board-members have voted, and who hasn't. I don't mind feedback from serious folks, if you intend to race soon, but the Board will ultimately make the decisions for this year.

Short course meaning what, like laughlin short 30-40 miles? Or like 1-2 miles with multiple laps. I wouldn't mind either but i think i would like a 30-40 mile loop with multiple laps best.

I was thinking more of a stadium-style course when I wrote that, but great question... I think the largest laughlin lap I can ever remember was 11 miles. I'd still call that "short".
I think anything over 20 is going to have multiple laps and not much spectating. So... "short-course" can be defined as 10 or less miles, with a stadium-style section - not just a turn or two where the spectators are... stands, turns, jumps, and side-by-side action so you and raffo can take each other out! (he he).

I would love a good short course, one of the complaints I get from my wife and others is they never get to see any racing, so one or two short runs would really bring in some spectators.

I like it. Less planning on staging and pits, more spectator time. I'd still like to run a good distance with all the laps added up though. I can't see myself taking the time off work and money to get thier for just 30-40 miles worth of racing. But its a great idea.

I suppose the wide mix of racing could actually make the Cup attrative to many. http://www.thewebwheeler.com/forums/images/smilies/humm_smilie.gif

With that kind of needling, Cam will be back at Rods cutting out the 1 3/4 inch cage himself... and looking for the welder!
