Hello all!!
Here is the update just sent to the Board of Directors!

I was a bit surprised to see how most of us were on the same proverbial page. I am thrilled to say we are almost unanimous on the following four items! There were a couple of exceptions, but the following are now set in stone.
update from the last e-mail:
1) We are officially a 4 race series for the year of 08.
2) You may run any number of the 4 races, but take your best 3 finishes for purposes of the Cup.
3) YES, the Baja 1000 is "in"
4) YES, the Baja 1000 will have extra weighting (see below).
Here are the remaining challenges:
We need to agree on a 4th race.
2008 schedule to date.
SNORE Mint 400 - March 27-30, Las Vegas (and Primm)
BITD Vegas to Reno - August 21-23 - Vegas and Reno (duh!)
SCORE Baja 1000 - November 19-22: Ensenada, Baja CA.
I am going to boil this down guys, to the three races that had more than 1 vote: PLEASE re-vote on just these (listed in NO particular order). We can't please everyone, but we need the race that fits the best, given location, cost, venue, all of the factors we are very aware of:
1) SCORE PRIMM 300: SEPTEMBER 5-6 - Primm Nevada
2) BORE (Bonneville off-road racing): Jackpot (usually 250). July 4th weekend Jackpot Nevada (Nevada border to Idaho).
3) MDR LUCERNE 250 - Lucerne, California
THIS IS THE ONLY THING YOU NEED TO VOTE ON RIGHT NOW. EVEN IF YOU AREN'T RACING ONE OR MORE OF THEM... PLEASE VOTE!!!
Other items we can work on later: just THINK about these for now.
* Finishing points will be higher, of course, based upon number of entries... but how much so? - I will create draft sliding scales similar to SCORE and see what we all think
* HOW much more weighting should be applied to the 1000?
* Series sponsor has not yet been landed, but I have not been able to work on this as much as I would like. Please send ideas for Series sponsors. KC, Kartek, Deaver, Butch's... all the obvious ones are receiving (or will receive) the sponsor requests.
* other sponsors. I am cutting off the initial sponsor logos for first shirt run at 10 plus the two magazines (3 more to go - I will nail them today and tomorrow). We will have at least 1000 bucks for the Mint pool!
see you guys at the races... BTW - SNORE Battle at Primm is HUGE. 280, I think? If you are planning on racing the MINT, you had better get in ASAP. There won't be much room for entries after that gaggle.
