Maine Racer,
The one you are thinking of is the green one run by the Chamberlins. From what I had heard, some one from the Vancouver, BC area bought it but has never finished rebuilding it...or at least has not raced it up there.

Do you remember Ed Burnaps early Bronco? That thing was wickedly fast...another BC guy bought it and raced it a few times. He crashed really hard and banged it up pretty bad...bad enough that it was not worth rebuilding I heard. I have pictures somewhere if you are interested.

Wes: JTR Veteran Baja Phil Dean emailed me back with this reply on the Scout!

Hi John, No, Bob's Scout was dark green with an aluminum interior, tub and floor boards. Very lightweight. The cage didn't have the "v" at the windshield. Where did you find that J Y Dog anyway?

Here is a pic of the bronco i grew up desert racing in .
With plenty of class Championships Ed and started the Class 4 truck (in my
AVATAR) in 93.
"Words of wisdom" Never Ever part a good racer to start a new one!

Ed Was with JTR at last years Baja 1000.

Here is a Photo with us passing Tom Scahill for the lead at Milican!
(Ed drove the Wheels of the bronco).

PS Some tell Raffo There are new Blazer pics up.

Maine,
That is what I thought...like I said I have heard that someone in BC bought Chamberlins Scout, but I have never heard of it getting out to a race since.

Those pictures of Burnaps Bronco bring back some memories. I have not been home in a few days, but I will try to find some more pictures when I get back. Ed is a great driver. Speaking of good drivers, I see Gordon Scott's CJ in one of the pictures...for a couple of old guys, they were damn fast. I went to a few distance races in Richland Wa and Milican, Ore with Bob Nyeste from Kamloops, BC when I was a kid. I also attended some of the distance races in BC. My Dad and Bob used to race against each other in the 70's and early 80's. His son Dale and I are still good friends. I know that Ed will remember Dale and Bob well.

I know he started building the new truck...whatever happened to it?
