Hello guys,
I am building an early bronco for class 3. I want to keep it as low to the ground as possible so my question is up travel.
rear:
3" king shocks
deaver packs
hyd bumps
front:
2.5" king coilovers<--- should I go with 3"?
3" king shocks
what is the least amount of up travel I could get by with?

I think the Moss boys sugjest a total travel of 7" with 1" of up.:D

I try to race a EB. I have 3"x 16 coilovers on the front with triple pass. On the rear I have triple pass with long leafs. The rear travel is 15" total with 5 up and 10 down from static. The front has 15" total with 4" up and the rest down from static. I am limited to that because of driveshaft bind and the oil pan. Bump stops and limit straps on the front only. By working with the steering geometry I have 0 bump steer. Also I use a 4.5 inch lift but lowered the frame 5" into the suspension and 35" tires
PS it seem I also have a very hot motor:)

Right not I have 16" in the rear and was going to end up with about 4-5 inch between frame abd axle. Sitting on extended bumps.
Are you not running rear bumps?
we are putting down 400HP at the rear on the dyno.:D

And he doesn't mean "souped-up". Very sad when you pulled out of line at the Mint. I really felt for you guys, coming all that way. I hated to see it.

He got up to 260* while sitting in the start line. :eek:

Hey Chuck, What springs are you running on the front?

He has covered that somewhere on here already. I believe they are a custom wound length and rate.
I thought he had but I couldn't find anything. I am running the same radius arm setup on my 70 bronco with regular coils. I have a set of 2.5X16" SAW's I was thinking about using but thought they might be a little long. I have seen Chucks race bronco in person, but didn't realize he was running that long of a coilover. I guess I should have asked then. I was going to try 300 lbs on the bottom, and 250 lbs on top. Sean @ Rockyroads said he had good luck with that rate but he is running 12's with longer radius arms.
