FRIDAY 10AM well, we arrive at ensenada in the morning, we unload the truck and went on to the contingency, everything went ok trough contingency, i ask my brother to prerun the first 15 miles, we strugle to find where the start was going to be until we find it, so we start the prerun, one day before i bought a JET CHIP, it's a chip that you install into the ECU to have more hp, so i install that JET CHIP to see how the chupakabras respond to that, so we start the prerun with it, it fell pretty good, the rpms were going up very easy, the first 5 miles it felt awsome, but i think it was injecting to much fuel, so, the engine couldn't burn all that fuel so the engine start to misfire, we had to stop, to much black smoke coming out of the exhaust, so, i took out the JET CHIP, reset the ecu, and keept going, it went ok for another 5 minutes when the engine start to misfire again, it was different, so we finish that prerun till the first road junction, we drove back to ensenada and went to an AUTOZONE for a ecu test, to check the trouble codes, it said that the MAF sensor and other little things, so we arrive at the hotel, and took every sensor and clean it with electrical spray cleaner, so i clean every posible sensor and actuator, by 9pm we turn the engine on and it turn on pretty good, it heard so nice, it was smoth, so, we thought the problems were gone.

SATURDAY, 8AM, the day has come, we arrive at the start line way early, just want it to be there, , the start was delayed, the trophy trucks went on at 10.22 am, by that time the first bike arrive to the finish line, our turn came on at 12pm, we took first, the chupakabras felt awsome, like always i was expacting to raffo or leavit to pass by us, now i know they had trouble at the begining, also our racer was running like never before,, we hit the road first and keeping the first place with no problems at all, so, we were able to pass a class 8, then another class 8 make us eat some dust for some minutes untill we arrive to ojos negros when a sudden he desapeard, he vanished, haha, we were only able to hit 80 mph at ojos, i don't know what was he's speed, anyway, we cross the road at ojos and keept going, we were on the tails of a class 9 for the rest of the miles until 1 minute before checkpoint 1 when i heard a big noise, it was the structure that holds the rear shocks broke, so we keept going at low speeds trough chek 1, we were looking for a pit with a welder, we found some guys that help us took the shocks of so they dont get any more damage, few minutes later we saw the first class 3 pass by us, it was raffo, then came the fj's, we decided to keep on the course, there was no way back, so we continue on the course hoping to find some one with a welder, by that point the engine start it againg to misfire, this time pretty bad, till the point that it didn;t want it to turn on, also one of the front wheel hubs was broken, we always ran with 4x2, we only use the 4x4 when stuck, there was some serius silt beds on our way so we thought tha we were using the 4x4, but we didn't, the wheel hubs were broken, even with that we manage to go by the silt beds, then came some serius hill, it was very roocky, imagine trying to climb up without 4x4 and without rear shocks, adding the misfirering engine, one time the engine shot down when we were almost at the top of that hill, so the truck start to go down without brakes, forunelly for us there was a big rock that stop us from going all down, it was scary, so we unplug al sensors an ecu , reset the computern and try it again, and it turn on pretty good again , our story keept the same for the next 30 miles when we hit the next junction to the road, and that was it, that was our story for this baja 250, we beat us again, not baja, ...

..you can check the pictures on www.tracksidephoto.com , you can see there that we had fun , so we are gonna keep on working on our racer to make it reliable this time, will post the updates of our racer, so see yaa at the next baja..
