here are my plans..............
driving to ensenada on sat morning (leave my house @ 6am. leave truck at friends house there and jump on bikes. take hwy to ojos and jump on the course.
jump off the course at rm 103 (access to hwy rd), and head to Valley T for fuel. take hwy to mikes turn off and head to mikes. i dont have a room at mikes, we are winging it and hoping we find a friend with a floor to sleep.
sun morning, head out of mikes on the course, leave the course @ rm236 and heat back to valley t for more fuel. get back on the course @ rm270 and head towards the coast. go to san vicente for more fuel and then head towards the ocean for the beach run. at santo tomas, we fuel again, then head back to ensenada on the hwy.
good times!!

We will be down there also sat and sunday. A bunch of us are turning 1/2 a century this year:cool: and will be celebrating at Mike's saturday night, starting at 5 pm after prerunning all day. We are bringing a band that will be playing 70's rock. Our list is 45 guys, so, bring your tent and sleeping bag, it's nice by the arroyo.

dang, Im a baby compared to you all. forgive me if I ever bad mouthed any of you.
anyhow, Im going sunday afternoon and all monday to get my prerunning in. Im going to attempt the whole course but I doubt my buddy who is prerunning with me has the energy to do it.
I want to know this course like the back of my hand and any rough section we are turning around to go through again and then marking it on the map. it makes life nice. did the same thing during the code 500 and it helped alot.
There's no doubt that bikes are the best to prerun, you remember the hard sections being that they hurt so much...

Problem is by the time you actually get on the race course all the big dawgs tear it up really bad.
So I've heard many say. http://www.thewebwheeler.com/forums/images/smilies/shrug.gif

Yeah I know, but I cant go any earlier. I have to go to a wedding on saturday. then I need to get some work in on sunday, Im about a month behind. no bueno.
Besides by the day of the race, the entire course is going to be one giant silt bed. its going to be bad, so I figure if its bad by monday I should get an idea of how it will be on race day...

Have you raced Baja before?

yeah? I ran the Score baja 500 in 06 but i rolled and DNF'd. havnt run any of the 1000's yet So far all of the Code races for this season and most of the MDR series. Score costs way too damn much though. Our shop all pitched in for this race though.
Main reason I figure its going to be bad is that most of the Class 1 cars, along with class 8's and TT's go out and use there race vehicles to prerun and the course gets destroyed. Same happened at the Code san felipe a couple months ago.
