But, but, but why??? Ha! I've got C3R stickers on the side. Should I be the only one representing for the Class? Racer or not? Get out there with anything that has a C3R sticker on it! The class won't grow if it's invisible.

Very well said!

But being I dont have any bumps at all right now, or any rear shocks..
I'm not gonna be there. :o

I'm considering attending my 1st AutoCross race in my Mustang instead. http://www.thewebwheeler.com/forums/images/smilies/3gears.gif

Kal - It looks like you guys are really getting that rig dialed. It's looking much smoother and faster than what I saw out at Barstow a year or so ago. Looks like you still had a good race going when you went by us at pit B around 10 or so. We took off early and didn't get to see the finish.

Here's my report at FSB:

Had a great time out there. Ollie Penchansky was very generous as usual and hooked me up with a radio for the race. Now I know I don't want a mag mounted antenna! We headed out to prerun the course early afternoon. It was hot, but we ran the a/c and the rig stayed cool, despite generous application of the skinny pedal. We hopped on the course at RM10-11 and within about 10min. we lost the little bit of dampening we had in the front end. The shock shafts were literally blue from the heat, but to my surprise the seals never gave up. Didn't leak a drop all day. We pogo'd our way around the 36 mile loop without stopping at an average of 25.4 mph. It was all I could do to keep the rig on the course with the front wheels off the ground half the time. It was on the bump stops hard continually. I was amazed at just how controlled Ollie's rig looked with the "old school" suspension. Very nice!

We decided to hang out at the road crossing at Dodge Rd to watch the race. Pistol and Larry Jacinto were looking really good the whole race. A few of the 16 cars were absolutely amazing, launching off the drop at speeds rivalling the TT's. Those guys can drive! We headed back to the main pit about 2/3's through the race and then drove out Stoddard to hang out with Ollie and Crash at pit B for a bit, but had to drive home, so we took off around 10:30 or so, headed back to Barstow to gas up and get a bite. Then headed out. It was great meeting Jeremy (polarclub). Unfortunately we didn't have a chance to talk. Catch you at the next race!

Here's a few clips I shot from Dodge Rd.

Just Kal. Unfortunately I was bleedin' the lizard when he went by the first time and didn't get a shot.
